Planning that New Year's Eve party that you hope your friends will remember? Eco-friendly chandeliers

Kick your party off before it even starts by bringing eco awareness to your party planning.   Pingg is an event management site that not only allows you to create customized invitations, but it also allows you to send them via text, face book, email, and more.  Another option is to use Evite.  Both are a great way to integrate the sustainability concept of paperless into your party planning and introduce sustainability concepts to your guests.

For entertaining, use glassware and if that's not an option, you can extend eco awareness into your party by using compostable plates and utensils.  Set up convenient recycling bins for glass and paper and serve organic and locally grown food.  For decorations, maybe add some soy candles on the table and decorate with your personal style showing off your sustainable lifestyle and choices.

Now, for the good stuff.  You can bring eco awareness into high gear by offering organic wine and beer.  Parducci and Peak Organic Beer  are some options and Whole Foods has a selection of wines to choose from that support a sustainable lifestyle.

Enjoy and have fun!
