The potential impacts have become a bottom-line focus for CEOs around the world.  In addition, ‘green business’ has become a top-line business sustainability opportunity.  ‘Green’ has shifted from a movement to a market, as companies target a new and growing customer segment.

Leading companies are implementing green business practices that reduce cost and value:

1.    Office Building Energy Consumption – Businesses are evaluating the average energy use per square foot of office space and implementing best practices to reduce: energy consumption studies, efficiency practices, equipment modifications, etc.

2.    Employee Commuting – Many companies are offering employees incentives to ride public transportation or participate in car/van pooling.

3.    Employee Telecommuting – Reduced office space and transportation is a potential win-win-win practice for businesses, employees, and the environment.

4.    Operations Efficiency – Companies are incorporating energy efficient process into their daily operations, evaluating peak hour consumption, and decreasing off-hour usage.

5.    Paper Usage – Organizations are capturing benefits from reduced paper needs by electronic communication and fixed duplex printer settings.

6.    Recycling – A common business practice that has been upgraded through corporate partnerships with neighboring businesses and companies like Waste Management.

7.    Eco Packaging – Product costs are being compressed by more efficient and eco friendly packaging.

8.    Emission Reduction – As Green House Gases (GHGs) continue to receive attention, potentially impacted companies are proactively reducing emissions through process improvements and advanced remediation technologies.

Sustainable business practices need to be cost competitive and add additional benefits. Taiga Company’s professional consulting encourages its clients to implement sustainable practices, strive to be industry leaders, and to transform traditional methods to make continuous sustainable improvements.
