The Energy Information Administration, EIA is the statistical agency of the U.S. Department of Energy.  Its mission is to provide policy-neutral data, forecasts, and analyzes to promote sound policy making, efficient markets, and public understanding regarding energy and its interaction with the economy and the environment.

Next week, April 7 and 8 , the EIA will hold its 2009 Energy Conference titled, "A New Climate for Energy” at the Washington Center, in Washington, D.C.  The focus will reflect current challenges facing the Administration, Congress, industry, and energy consumers.

As a professional consultant in the arena of building business sustainability, the discussion topics are of particular interest.   Sessions in the conference are intended to address challenges to investing in energy infrastructure, investing in Oil and Natural Gas - Opportunities and Barriers, and Greenhouse Gas Emissions.  Additionally, addressing Energy in a Carbon-Constrained World is John W. Rowe, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Exelon Corporation.

In our sustainability consulting, we encourage our clients to stay current of events and discussions affecting regulatory and policy developments impacting their business.  Knowledge presents business leaders with opportunities to quickly respond to changing conditions and potentially secure competitive advantages.

Given today's economic challenges and growing environmental business opportunities, business leaders are wise to take notice.
