While ‘going green’  is a noble personal aspiration unto itself, there are numerous value components in the pursuit of a more sustainable lifestyle.  By defining a personal value proposition, you are establishing one of the critical aspects necessary for continued success.

As a sustainability consultant, I encourage all of my clients to make a case for personal sustainability.  The process of linking opportunities for improvement to specific quantifiable metrics ensures personal alignment.

In our personal consulting, we encourage clients to examine four distinct areas for value:

•    Decrease personal expenses by applying suitability concepts
•    Increase personal satisfaction through alignment with personal values and positive impact
•    Decreased time engaged in unfulfilling activity
•    Improved health and general well-being

Building a case for sustainability provides individuals with a clear understanding of the opportunities and resulting implications of their personal sustainability plan.  In addition, a value proposition creates a clear line of sight between specific actions and their personal benefits.

At Taiga Company, our personal consulting works directly with clients to create a business case for sustainability.  We help individuals define personal sustainability concepts that match their desired value drivers.
