Do you remember watching Michael Phelps swim to 8 gold medals in the 2008 Summer Olympics?  Amazing and sensational!

Sometimes it takes viewing an amazing accomplishment such as that to connect with that inspiration within ourselves  At Taiga Company, our view of sustainability is twofold: first, embracing environmental impact of your decisions and second, it's the process of closing the gap from where you are to where you want to be.  That includes defining a sustainability plan for your company, living a sustainable lifestyle as well as bringing eco awareness to your daily life.  Regardless of the topic - environmentally related or not, we all start with where we are and want to build from that platform to achieve that goal.

An inspiring way to bring eco awareness into your sustainable lifestyle is to take The Action Challenge.  Two inspiring Canadians, Matt Hill and Stephanie Tait are running an impressive 11,000-mile run across Canada & around the USA to inspire environmental action.

The Action Challenge is a great way to integrate sustainable concepts into your daily living.  By going to their site, you can select which sustainability concept you are committed to actively engaging in your daily life.

Topics include:
  • Eat local and organic
  • Turn off your car
  • Eliminate plastic bags
  • And more...

Just as Michael Phelps and others are inspiring to us, imagine how your efforts and commitment to implementing just one of these sustainability concepts in your daily life can be inspiring to others?
