Following are some of the easiest eco actions taken by our clients resulting from our eco friendly training.
  •  Keep your home at an eco-conscious temperature
  • Block the sunshine to keep unwanted heat out of the house: use blinds, awnings, and solar screens
  • Provide exterior shade via trees, vines, and shrubs
  • Run your dishwasher at night
  • Air dry your dishes and clothes
  • Avoid cooking on the hottest of days
  • Aim to take shorter showers and refrain from take baths
  • Use ceiling fans rather than AC
  • Eat smaller, lighter meals and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. This will actually help you to feel cooler.
  • Turn off or better yet - unplug unused electronic equipment
  • Indulge in relaxed dress standards: light colored and loose fitting clothing allows the skin to breathe
  • Use fans to keep air moving
  • Insulate well

Using tips like these can help you stay cool while living a sustainable lifestyle so you can enjoy the last days of summer and help the environment at the same time.  It may not seem like much; however, every eco action you take to reduce your carbon footprint is a step in the right direction.
