Make the Leap from Eco Awareness to Eco Action

While sustainability concepts are becoming clearer, personal definitions of sustainability and drivers that inspire eco action are often very different.  Our personal consulting has taught us: what works for one may not be the right fit for another.

At Taiga Company, we work with individuals and businesses stuck in this familiar gap between thought and action.  Many of our clients experience the same roadblocks:

•    What are the motivations and drivers to get started?
•    How to engage others in the process?
•    How to translate thoughts and discussion into actionable items?
•    How to maintain progress without getting caught-up in evaluation?

In a recent post, Exploring the Value in Personal Sustainability, we defined some of the drivers, challenges, and big opportunities that affect personal eco action.  Understanding personal value components in the pursuit of a more sustainable lifestyle is critical to the success of a personal sustainability plan.

Through our daily living, we are presented with opportunities to expand our eco awareness and make informed choices.  Being conscious of sustainability concepts when you shop, work and play, contributes to living a more sustainable lifestyle.   As you explore and adopt sustainable alternatives, share the information to inspire sustainable action in others.
