Pedal Power: Climate Riders Cycle to Raise Eco Awareness

image: Brita Climate RideCycling is a zero emissions emitting form of alternative transportation, great stress release, enjoyable exercise, and is a component of a sustainable lifestyle.  The latest cycling benefit?  Cycling is a great way for those living the green life to walk, or should I say, ride the talk.

September 26–30th, 2009, hundreds of cyclists will pedal from New York City to Washington, D.C., in the Brita Climate Ride.  The Brita Climate Ride is a multi-day bicycle ride that raises money and eco awareness for climate change action. The riders will depart New York City having raised $2400, the proceeds of which will go toward three climate/bike advocacy charities: Focus the Nation, Rails-to-Trails Conservancy, and Clean Air - Cool Planet.

With only a few slots open participation may not be possible; however, that doesn't mean you can't take eco action in support of the environment.  Our eco friendly consulting promotes cycling as a component of a personal sustainability program for living green.

As mentioned in our eco friendly training, following are resources to help you get started.  Whether you are cycling to work to reduce carbon emissions or cycling to promote a sustainable lifestyle, there's something here for you.

Cycling as part of a sustainable lifestyle is a rewarding personal adventure.  As a green living consultant and cycling enthusiast, I can't encourage you enough to explore the cycling adventure for yourself.  Enjoy your ride!
