Shades of green: Which shade are You?

Along those lines, in 2007 the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) commissioned a green consumer survey among its members resulting in consumer buyer preferences as it relates to eco awareness/ green products and services.  The end result of that study was the reality that no person is perfectly green.  People behave in shades of green.

What one person may consider a sustainable concept working perfectly in their life might be frowned upon by another person more accelerated in their own sustainable lifestyle.

Working with individuals in my personal consulting, we often start a personal sustainability plan by identifying the current status as well as deciding what sustainability means to that person.  Only then can realistic and attainable goals be set.  What may be inspiring and motivating about eco awareness to one person may be different to another, yet it takes all of us taking action that inspires us to lead others to do the same.

So, when considering which shade of green you perceive yourself to be, ponder a moment and inquire within: How you are inspiring others to darken their shade of green?  Doesn't that make you a little greener?
