If you’re familiar with the cycling world, dirt is referred to as trails- mountain bike trails. This Saturday, May 9th, Taiga Company will be represented at the Dirt, Sweat, and Gears 12 Hour Endurance Mountain Bike Race in Fayetteville, Tennessee. As sustainability consultants, we're pretty excited to participate. Why? Well, not only will the race be an adventure in nature but it's an opportunity to showcase some of the eco friendly promotional products we've recently purchased. As mentioned in a previous post, business sustainability is integrated within the core of our business as well as in the execution of our business. When purchasing our promotional items, our vendor's are required to meet specific criteria of environmental, social, and economic factors specific to Taiga Company's vision for building business sustainability.
During the event, you'll notice us wearing our new organic cotton T-shirts purchased from American Canvas Printing. They specialize in offering screen printing sweatshop free and eco friendly apparel and accessories. Our promotional t-shirts are part of the earth Positive line which is manufactured in a plant run on wind and solar power.
In our professional consulting, we are committed to making the business case that integrating sustainability concepts into your business does not have mean you have to compromise in quality or price. Our organic cotton t-shirts were cost competitive, easier on the environment and our purchase of them supported other like minded sustainable businesses.
