image: golf ballA small business recourse commonly used to cultivate client relationships is a day of golf.  It affords generous time to casually discuss business and explore ideas otherwise cut short in a business meetings time.  As a professional consultant working with small businesses, I advise clients to extend sustainability concepts to their golf game.  Eco-conscious golfers can feel good about their game while helping the environment.

Check out these products to extend eco awareness to your golf outings.

  • Wilson lightweight golf bag made from 100% recycled fabric.
  • Wilson Eco Core golf ball also made from 100% recycled material.
  • The Dixon Earth golf ball  is made from all recycled and recyclable materials. The core of the ball is made from a renewable material, proprietary polymer. The rest of the golf ball and the packaging are made from recyclable materials.
  • The Ecotee, also by Dixon Earth is sustainable.  The tees are made extra strong so that they will not break, like other tees, and they are made from harvested lumber so that no trees were cut down to make them.
  • The EcoGolf ball is a biodegradable golf ball.  It is a great alternative because this type of ball has no negative effects on the environment.  The ball is constructed out of a Water-Soluble polymer non-toxic material similar to those found in agrochemical packaging, laundry bags, and food packaging, which allows the ball to dissolve in the water.
  • Another golf tee to consider is the Golf Tee XT - 1.  These golf tees are completely 100% biodegradable and won’t chip mower blades either!

In our sustainability consulting, we work with clients to expand eco awareness in all areas of life.  By choosing sustainable products not only are you supporting the environment but you are also supporting sustainable businesses, the manufacturers of those products.
