This past Saturday, Taiga Company participated in the Dirt Sweat and Gears 12 hour Endurance Mountain bike race in Fayetteville, Tennessee.
It was an exciting event and as sustainability consultants, we were proud to display our newly purchased sustainable promotional items. Being an environmental business, business sustainability is in the core of our business as well as in the execution of our business.
We purchased our cycling kits from Voler Cycling Apparel. Voler is committed to business sustainability and furthering sustainability concepts into their business through their commitment to reducing their impact on the environment in the following ways:
• Only using water based biodegradable sublimation dyes.
• Recycling all of our paper waste from manufacturing. Over 200 tons per year.
• Electrical Solar panels, that generates over 45,000 kilowatts of power per year, which is equivalent to removing 50,000lbs of Carbon Dioxide from the atmosphere.
• Only working with reputable fabric and trim suppliers that follow National and International guidelines
Another sustainable promotional item we showcased at the race was our new Taiga Company banner. Purchased from GreenBanners. They are the original green banner and signage company and do not use any form of vinyl materials or toxic solvent inks. They print high resolution, full-color photo-quality graphics and text on a wide variety of materials using ecologically-sound renewable, recycled / recyclable and biodegradable materials.
In our professional consulting to small businesses, we are committed to making the business case that integrating sustainability concepts into your business does not have mean you have to compromise in quality or price. All of our promotional items were cost competitive, easier on the environment and our purchase of them supported other likeminded sustainable businesses.
